PRIMUS implant features

1. Platform Switching

Platform switching repositions the implant-abutment interface inward, away from the crestal bone. This design preserves marginal bone height and supports long-term peri-implant soft tissue stability.

2. Open Thread

The open thread geometry at the coronal portion improves bone-to-implant contact and aids in even stress distribution, contributing to predictable primary stability across a range of bone types.

3. Double Thread Design

The double thread profile accelerates insertion while preserving thread engagement, balancing placement efficiency with the surface area required for strong osseointegration.

4. Tapered Body

The tapered body progressively compresses surrounding bone during placement, enhancing primary stability and making the PRIMUS fixture well-suited for immediate placement protocols.

5. Spherical Apex

A rounded apex minimizes trauma to anatomically sensitive structures during insertion, supporting safer placement near the maxillary sinus and the inferior alveolar nerve.

6. Helix Cutting Edge

Self-tapping helix cutting flutes reduce insertion torque and enable controlled bone removal during placement, contributing to atraumatic preparation of the osteotomy site.

Sandblasted Acid-Etched Treatment

The surface of PRIMUS implants is created using extensively researched and widely acknowledged macro and micro-roughening techniques, setting the standard in the global dental implant industry. These sophisticated techniques involve sandblasting with aluminum oxide particles, followed by an acid etching process. The resulting surface topography achieves an advantageous Ra value (a standard parameter to describe average surface roughness) of 2.2µm. This degree of roughness promotes superior Bone to Implant Contact (BIC) and enables optimal cellular adhesion for rapid osseointegration.

SAT Surface Treatment

  1. 1Proven long term stability of SAT surface
  2. 2Tested optimum surface roughness (Ra 2.2µm)
  3. 3Thorough SAT surface cleaning through the optimal cleaning process
  4. 4Verified osseointegration results in various clinical cases
